Scheduled: partial RCE outage

Rce6-5, which is one of the 5 RCE login servers needs to be rebooted due to intermittent problems.  If you’re logged into that server, you may have occasionally have been unable to open files, or you may have seen error messages like this: fork: retry: Resource temporarily unavailable

To find out if you’re logged into that specific server go to:

Applications>system tools>terminal

When the terminal window opens, you’ll see the name of the RCE server you’re logged into.

 

If you’re logged into rce6-5, the reboot will cause your interactive session to terminate, but once the reboot completes, you may be able to log back into the RCE and run

Applications>RCE Utilities>Attach all jobs

to get your batch jobs back.
